About us
The Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton Region of Pennsylvania has a rich history of music discoveries, festivals and venues who have brought creative music inspiration for generations of music lovers. In 2023, the Allentown Bethlehem Easton Regional Music Awards was founded as a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization to recognize and celebrate music as a powerful form of artistic expression and unifying force in our culture.
We strive to build a community of passionate music lovers who share in the joy of discovering and promoting exceptional musical talent and music creators in our local and surrounding area. ABERMA's mission is to support, promote and award excellence in all forms of music without prejudice or favor, by facilitating an annual awards show and media publicity.
ABERMA Eligibility & requirements
- All nominees self nominated or submitted must be within the map guidelines of the ABERMA map layout.
- Nominees must be conducting business (includes live music, recording, promoting etc) in the Map guideline area for the category they are submitting for.
- For any submissions for “OF THE YEAR" category, artist must have been recorded, produced and or released within the year being submitted for.
- For any "LIVE MUSIC" category submissions, the artist must have played live in the ABERMA map area at least 4 times within the year being submitted for.
- Nominees may NOT have a family member, relative or band associate on the ABERMA advisory panel for the category they are submitting for.
- Acts must be actively recording and or performing.
All submissions will be reviewed by the ABERMA advisory panel of industry professionals. All decisions for nominees and winners will be final. If additional information is needed and requested, it is the artist or business responsibility to provide the needed information to qualify the submission.
